Lake Winnipesaukee Ice Out Raffle

MEREDITH — William O’Neill of Ipswich, Mass., is the Greater Meredith Program winner of the 2008 Ice Out Contest, guessing April 23 at 5:15 p.m. and coming the closest to actual declared ice out of April 23 at 8 p.m.

He purchased the winning ticket at Lago on Valentine’s Day when he and his wife celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary with a getaway stay at the Inn at Church Landing.

“We’re definitely coming back,” said O’Neill, who won $1,260 in the 50-50 raffle that supports the Greater Meredith Program.
